POP Solutions, the Belgian market leader in point of sale (POS) solutions, has acquired a majority stake in Germany’s MHK Displays GmbH. With this strategic acquisition, POP Solutions is not only expanding its portfolio and presence in Europe, but also combining decades of expertise in the production of displays made of metal, wood, plastic and cardboard.
MHK Displays GmbH has been providing customised POS solutions for over 60 years and is known for creative design, high-quality materials and reliable production. With the acquisition by POP Solutions, headquartered in Nivelles, Belgium, the product range of both companies will be enhanced and expanded to include solutions involving new materials. MHK Displays’ clients will not only benefit from POP Solutions’ experience in the design and production of metal and wooden displays, but also from its innovative cardboard and multi-material expertise.
Combining the strengths of both companies promises new synergies and prospects. POP Solutions will gain an additional 7,000 m² production site in Europe and thus the opportunity to strengthen its market presence. MHK Displays will be able to leverage the know-how and innovative strength of POP Solutions to expand its market position in Germany.
Continuity will be maintained for the clients and partners of both companies: Dieter Wirtz remains Co-CEO & Production Manager of MHK Displays, ensuring that proven business relationships and services can continue seamlessly. “We are delighted to be working with POP Solutions,” says Dieter Wirtz. “This partnership offers us the unique opportunity to expand our expertise and market presence in Europe while further improving the quality of service we deliver to our clients.”
POP Solutions CEO John Morent will take a central role in the extended management team, together with Dieter Wirtz, by focusing on the group’s future development. Tanja Jacobs, formerly Managing Director of MHK Displays, will also remain associated with the company as a shareholder to support the transition phase and ensure continuity for clients and employees. “We are very happy about the merger and ready for new challenges.
