National Lottery renews POS partnership with POP

In 2021, the Belgian National Lottery joined forces with POP Solutions Group to produce high-quality permanent POS materials to help the National Lottery carry out its rebrand at around 6,500 points of sale across Belgium.

Following a new call for tenders, the National Lottery is today renewing its partnership with POP Solutions as a POS provider, marking an exciting new chapter in a successful collaboration.

New visual identity

Over the past four years, POP Solutions and the National Lottery have worked closely together to develop and produce premium permanent POS materials. The genesis for the project was a large-scale rebrand. “In 2021, we launched a brand-new visual identity,” says Michel Tinck, Retail PPOSM Manager at the National Lottery. “Thanks to our successful partnership with POP, we managed to roll out the POS materials to reflect that new identity at our 6,500 points of sale in record time. Looking ahead, we want to continue optimising our in-store brand experience in all areas, and we look forward to doing that again in partnership with POP!”

From displays to a complete redesign

Since the start of the project, POP has designed and produced over 35 different POS concepts for the National Lottery. These include the POS materials showcasing lottery products in supermarkets, as well as the complete redesign of points of sale, including wall and counter displays, totems, façade panels, window dressing and modular units.

The renewal of this partnership means that, over the coming years, the National Lottery will once again entrust POP Solutions with the design and production of its POS materials for all the places where “players, winners and good causes meet”, as the Lottery’s slogan puts it.

A sustainable partnership

From the outset, the collaboration between POP and the National Lottery was based on flexibility, quality and shared values. As such, it should come as no surprise that the partnership has been renewed, says POP’s CEO John Morent. “The National Lottery chose us back then because we supply high-quality materials, but also because we share their values in terms of corporate social responsibility or CSR. We’ve met those expectations over the past few years, and we intend to continue doing so more than ever in the future.”

POP Solutions focuses on the design and production of high-quality, sustainable POS materials, and is strongly committed to operating in an environmentally and socially responsible way. Among other things, it generates energy from solar panels on the roof of its production facilities, has a strict CSR charter for partners and suppliers, and prioritises ecologically responsible design, smart transport, and the use of recyclable and recycled materials.

Moreover, POP has recently introduced a system that informs clients in advance about the ecological footprint of various POS products – a tool genuinely valued bythe National Lottery, among others. “We believe it’s important to make it as easy as possible for our clients to meet their CSR goals and make more sustainable choices. Sustainability is a top priority for the National Lottery too. By informing them in a clear and transparent way about the carbon emissions of our displays, we enable them to make an informed choice about the most environmentally responsible option. This has become a key factor in their decision-making process, and undoubtedly played a part in their decision to choose us again.”

Logistically too, POP Solutions was once again a logical choice. “Most of our production takes place in Belgium and we have our own warehousing facility,” explains John Morent. “That means we can always adapt quickly. Also, a single contact person oversees the project from start to finish, and all services are in-house, under one roof and managed internally. This one-stop-shop approach is one of the main advantagesPOP Solutions offers.”

“The fact that we design and manufacture all our products in a single place means that we have better and constant oversight of the whole process,” confirms Sales Director Pieter van de Kamp. “It also gives us the necessary flexibility, as well as the ability to respond exceptionally fast to any change in situation. That way, our clients genuinely get to enjoy the ‘peace of mind’ we’re renowned for. We look forward to continuing to offer the National Lottery this type of full-service solution in the years ahead.”
