cora Concorde Luxembourg recently took advantage of these benefits. The Luxembourg hypermarket wanted to revamp its beauty department to make it more cosy, selective and contemporary and to guide customers more effectively. To make this vision a reality, cora called on the expertise of POP Solutions.
No less than 224 m2 of retail space was remodelled to create a completely new universe. “Creatively, cora gave us carte blanche and we dealt with the entire project from A to Z,” explains Marc Brassinne, Head of the Purchasing Department at POP. “From designing the various elements in our workshops to their placement in store. In just two nights, nine technicians gave the beauty department a complete facelift.”
Among other things, the team installed lightboxes to shape the universe and cultivate an atmosphere, LED lampshades, topboxes, gondola heads and ends, and shelves, all mainly in wood to enhance the environmentally friendly product range, for instance. Metal and backlit stretched banners brought the whole thing together, always with a view to sustainability.
POP had previously already redesigned four wine, beer and spirit sections for cora in Belgium. The hypermarket wanted to turn these into premium shopping spaces featuring an interactive terminal providing information about recipes and wine.
